System for light to heavy loads
GALLER provides cantilever racks in two designs for light to heavy loads.
Our cantilever rack system for light to medium loads is made of multiple edged steel profiles.
For heavy loads, on the other hand, hot-rolled steel profiles a robust yet slim design with a very high load-bearing capacity at the same time. They create a high storage capacity with small floor space. The durability and customised production of our cantilever racks guarantee an economic investment.
Rack uprights for heavy loads
The IPE upright profile made of hot-rolled steel is punched on both sides in the grid of 100 mm. Consequently, the height of the storage levels can be individually adapted to the product to be stored and the conveyor equipment used at any time. The same upright is used for single-sided and double-sided racks – this simplifies later conversion or extensions of the rack system. The upright is bolted to the base. This allows the profiles to be bundled for optimised transportation.
Single-sided or double-sided racks
The IPE upright profile made of hot-rolled steel is punched on both sides in the grid of 100 mm. Consequently, the height of the storage levels can be individually adapted to the product to be stored and the conveyor equipment used at any time. The same upright is used for single-sided and double-sided racks – this simplifies later conversion or extensions of the rack system. The upright is bolted to the base. This allows the profiles to be bundled for optimised transportation.
Cantilever arms
The cantilever arms of the heavy-load system are made of hot-rolled IPE steel profiles. Hidden rust formation is excluded due to the solid material. They are bolted to the vertical uprights in a 100 mm or 50 mm grid, enabling optimum design of the individual storage levels to suit the goods to be stored.
Cross connections
The individual sections of a rack with rows are made sturdy by means of cross connections. At the same time, they also determine the spacing between the rack uprights. This depends on the stored goods: Soft, sagging storage material is more closely supported than rigid profiles. For safety reasons, the racks should be anchored to the floor. Outdoor racks must be mounted on concrete floors or concrete bases and be secured using chemical anchors.
Upright connections
Spacer tubes form the centre to centre distance from upright to upright, adapted to the goods to be stored. In addition, cross bracing reinforces the rack.
Assembly
As a general rule, you can also assemble cantilever racks from GALLER yourself. For this purpose, we provide you with easily understandable assembly instructions. However, for outdoor racks and/or for larger installations, we recommend assembly by an experienced partner company of GALLER.
Arm bridge
The arm bridge connects the cantilever arms horizontally and enables the storage of pallets. This creates a continuous storage level without interfering intermediate supports – this provides maximum flexibility for storage of different pallet formats.
Foot bridge
The foot bridge connects the upright feet horizontally and in this way already enables the storage of pallets on the lowest level of the cantilever rack.
Grating shelves
Shelves placed on the cantilever arms allow the mixed storage of unpacked goods or goods without loading aids, cartons, etc. As there are no intermediate supports, flexible storage is possible along the entire length of the row of racks. Grating shelves can accommodate highly concentrated loads and can also be used as shelf supports with sprinkler systems.
Chipboard plate shelves
Chipboard plate shelves are primarily used in the picking area as well as for the storage of pallets, cartons and boxes.
Anti-rolling protection
Guide rails
When using narrow-aisle forklifts and stacker cranes, it is recommended to protect the bases of the cantilever racks from collision damage by using guide rails. At the same time, they facilitate manoeuvring in narrow lanes.
Compartment dividers
The storage levels can be further subdivided by compartment dividers so that different long goods can be stored on one level. The system for light and medium loads has a perforation in the centre of the cantilever arms into which the compartment divider is inserted and bolted. In the case of the heavy-load cantilever racks, the compartment divider can be moved infinitely on the l-profile of the cantilever arms.
Outdoor use
GALLER provides the cantilever rack system in a high-quality and durable hot-dip galvanised model according to DIN EN ISO 1461 for outdoor use. In addition, the stored goods can be protected from the weather by mounting roof and wall elements on the cantilever racks.
Roof elements
In order to protect the goods against the weather, GALLER cantilever racks can be equipped with various roof variants. There are two options: There are special roof arms that are mounted on the upper end of the uprights and support roof elements made of trapezoidal sheet metal. Or the uprights directly support a complete roof structure, e.g. made of wood (which is then made by the local tradesmen or by the customer). Drainage and downpipes are also available.
Wall elements
If required, additional protection against the weather can be provided by rear and side walls made of trapezoidal sheet metal.
